We learn our spelling in many different ways.

We work with our friends.

We use shaving foam, this is messy but it is a fun way to learn our spelling words.

We paint our spelling words.

We also use play doh to create our spelling words.

Sand is also a good fun way to learn our spelling words.

Our Ice Day

We had a challenge of making an igloo before the ice melted.

Brrrrrrrr it was cold work...

... but be warmed up with a hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream.

We worked in groups to create a poster of a polar animal.

We all had a job to do.

We all worked well in our groups and created fantastic posters.

We used different non-fiction books to find out our information - we know a lot more about huskys, polar bears, arctic foxes, penguins and seals.

Our posters were so good that Mrs.Whitford came to our class to see them - we could tell her a lot of information.

After all our hard work we chilled out in our iceberg water play.

Another active week

We have continued to work in groups to solve problems. All of our groups showed great teamwork.

We had to find out how we could fit different size squares and rectangles into a tray.

We used a number of different strategies to solve the problem.

We have worked individually and in pairs to work out our maths sums.

We love choosing our activities when we have finished our work.

We have been learning about polar animals as part of our topic.

While we did our research on polar animals we watched a BBC documentary on Polar bears, it was very informative.

We have used information books to gather information for our topic.

Our Meerkat reading group received a special present from Mrs Whitford for our excellent reading.

We have been using playdoh to practise our spelling.

We have all improved our spelling.

We made some great masks in activities.
