Primary 1 had LOTS of fun last week. Our two most exciting event were the arrival of baby rabbits. Each child had the chance to hold and stroke the rabbits. The children handled them very well and asked Denise lots of interesting questions.
We also had a visit to the church for Christian Aid week. This was lots of fun and we have some great photos - I just have to remember how to add them on here!

We are really busy in Primary 1 at the moment - our topic seems to be growing arms and legs! The room is slowly being changed into a castle and lots of people want to make shields. We are also working on Angus Puff the Fire Dragon and will be making a nice big dispaly about what we have learned. If you would like to see this story at home click on the link below. We are looking at the super describing words and spotting capital letters and full stops. http://www.hifrs.org/getdoc/19a4795c-1087-4106-a829-2b89cb5fbc4e/Angus-Puff-English.aspx

Good Luck Miss Thomson
Today was the last day that P1 will call their teacher Miss Thomson. They have been working hard to learn the new name for after the holidays...Mrs Kirkpatrick.
Einar kindly brought in a lovely wedding cake for Miss Thomson. She was really chuffed and is keeping it safe for the big day.
All of the classes got the chance to see the cake too. P5 were particularly excited to see it.
Good Luck Miss Thomson. We all hope that the sun shines brightly on Saturday and you have a very special day.
From P5 and Miss Kelday

Health Week Walk
P1 and P5 joined together to go for a healthy walk over Brinkies.
On the way we were looking for birds and flowers. Lindsay Taylor from RSPB came to talk to us earlier in the day about what to look out for.
We had our binoculars and some P5 helpers to spot the things on our list.
It was a bit windy but we all had fun.
Thank you very much to Eilidh's dad, Aoife's dad and David's mum for coming along with us.
