Looking after the birds in Orkney

We had fun making fat balls for the birds to eat.

We also found out that birds like apples so we covered apples in sunflower to give the birds an extra tasty treat.

Today we were visited by Lindsey Taylor from the RSPB and we learnt about birds that we see during the day in Orkney.

Active Learning

In our class we like learning in a number of different interactive ways.

We are developing our knowledge of stars through creating a class display.

In maths we enjoy completing worksheets....

                                                                                    ....creating season jigsaws...
 ...testing our classmates...
and working together with our fellow classmates to solve problems.

We have had an active week

This week we have been showing our classmates our shadow animals.

We also had Michael Swanney in to show us how to do the class moves programme in our class PE - We demonstrated the different ways to run.

We have to remember our space bubbles for next week.

We had a game of sleeping lions to cool down.
