We have had a busy active week this week.

We have been learning about different ways to throw.

We have been making animals out of cubes in problem solving, we found that when the body
was an even number of cubes the legs were exactly half the number of cubes.

 In our reading groups we
we spilt ourselves up into the summariser, illustrator and word finder to re-tell our the story in our reading books.

We did a fantastic job of re-telling the stories in our words.

Visitors for our grandparents project

Thank you to all our visitors, mums and grandparents, the children really enjoyed you all come into our class and it really brought the Grandparents project to life. I hope everyone can come to our open day next Tuesday 2nd October at 2.00 pm.

Half way through the term!!!!!

Oh my how quick is this term going?

We have been writing about a day/time we have spent with our grandparents. We had such great memories. We all worked so well that we were all star writers.

We love looking at our 1950's artefact table.

In our class PE time we picked up a to z letters and arranged ourselves into a human alphabet.

We have enjoying learning about money.
We all worked well in groups to create collages of items in the home that our grandparents used that we still use.

More great group work. We predicted the story of Grandma's patchwork quilt.

Yeah - we wrote such great wicked witch wanted posters that the witch was captured and
Hansel and Gretel thanked us by giving us a marshmallow from the Gingerbread House.

Another great week :-)

We are a class of bucketfillers. Have you filled a bucket today?

We are  enjoying our grandparents project.

This week we have been learning about toys that our grandparents would have played with.

We have all
worked well in our groups to design and make a toy that our grandparents would have played with when they were a child.

It has been great examining
the artefacts in our growing class museum.
Please send any items that you think will enhance our museum.

We have all been effective contributers this week. On Friday we had our class PE outside in the sun and taught P1 some games.
